Interview with Scott Turner

Hello Scott, welcome to GreenTek!  Tell us about the career path that brought you here…

Having started my career at an agricultural and horticultural dealership, I have always had a passion for machinery. This progressed to professional groundcare, selling tractors and attachments into the turf Industry.

How would you describe yourself?

I have a wide range of skills - mechanical and technical - with many years of experience in turfcare. I’m very enthusiastic, and always eager to provide support and advice.

What will your main responsibilities be at GreenTek?

I will be responsible for Area Sales in the South of the UK, managing and supporting dealers and their customers.

What excites you the most about working with GreenTek?

The quality of the products, along with the strong forward-thinking company structure, and working with the GreenTek team.

What can our customers expect from you?

Strong reliable support, whether it’s advice, help, technical information, or just a friendly chat - I will be there to assist!

What accomplishment in your career are you currently most proud of?

To date, it would be bringing a product to market and successfully achieving strong growth and sales, and establishing a well-known brand.

Who/What in the world of turf management inspires you?

I would have to say the people and the community: there is such positive enthusiasm for the industry and passion from everyone to achieve the best, from greenkeepers to groundsman, council workers and beyond.

Do you play golf or any other sports yourself?

I’m afraid I hung up my clubs a number of years ago due to time constraints.  However, I do enjoy it so maybe I will find the time in the future to get out there again. In the meantime I’m enjoying mountain bike riding!

What else do you enjoy doing in your downtime?

I enjoy working on machinery, repairing and restoring. Along with vehicle building and restoration.
